Starting off as an FL Studio junkie, Tyler's current production tip incorporates Ableton Live with Maschine & Reason; occasionally using Logic Pro as a compositional tool and mixing instrumental trackouts in Pro Tools. This method of sequencing combines Ableton Live's DAW power with the advanced drum module functionality of Maschine. For productions centered around audio recording, Tyler can also rewire Maschine into Pro Tools, giving him the ability to rework requested progression changes without effecting any prior mixdown efforts.
The content of music that Tyler produces widely varies, listing influences from Trent Reznor to Arca, and Limp Bizkit to RHCP. The overall genre classification of his original music can be called progressive hip-hop, but elements of hard rock, industrial, jazz and more are also infused. What gives Tyler an advantage over a majority of producers in the hip-hop industry is that he rarely samples to create the base of his songs. Field recordings/found sounds have been implemented into his newer works along with his real guitar and bass playing. Tyler also works with a handful of studio musicians, giving him the ability to pull from brass players, drummers, keyboardists, singers and other guitarists.
